Job summary

Monmouth University is seeking two part-time Library Technicians for the Guggenheim Memorial Library on the West Long Branch campus. You will check in and out library materials, assist with shelving, and handle fines and memberships at the circulation desk.

This on-campus, in-person role requires 3 years of relevant experience, strong interpersonal skills, and basic MS Word/Excel proficiency. Two shifts available; salary ranges $20–$22 per hour.

Qualifications

• 3 years of related library experience.
• Experience handling cash and financial transactions.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
• Basic Knowledge of MS Word and Excel 2016.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Check in/out library materials and assist with shelving.
• Assist with reference questions when library is open.
• Process fines, memberships and interlibrary loan requests.
• Open/close library and desk; tally balances and fines.
• Maintain the Little Free Library and ensure accessibility.
