Job summary

Monmouth University is seeking a part-time Adjunct Librarian to provide general reference services to students and faculty on the MU Library, Monmouth University campus. The role requires weekend reference shifts (one or more five-hour shifts) and one or more three-hour weekday/weeknight shifts.

• Experience with reference services and information resources is essential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality reference services in person, by phone, and by email.
• Assist students and faculty with general reference needs.
• Maintain and edit training materials for staff and students.
• Provide in-depth research support to faculty, departments, and administrators.
• Assist faculty with requests for articles, books, and electronic resources.
• Support library staff with special projects and other duties as assigned.
