Job summary

Arizona College of Nursing is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach on campus and in-person, delivering learning experiences in the classroom, online, and/or lab with varied methods. You will engage students, follow the established curriculum, and contribute to student success through advisement and mentoring.

Requirements include a master's degree or higher, 15 credit hours in the discipline, and strong English communication. Prior teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Masters' degree or higher from an accredited program.
• A minimum of 15 credit hours or equivalent in the assigned subject area.
• Master's degree in the discipline OR a Master's degree with 18 graduate credits relevant to the discipline.
• Two years of practical experience in the course content area or three years if the degree is unrelated.
• At least three years of work experience as an educator preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide learning experiences in classroom, online, and/or lab using varied teaching methods.
• Engage students and follow a curriculum/syllabus.
• Create a positive educational climate and communicate clear learning objectives.
• Meet course and school-wide performance goals.
• Manage student behavior and evaluate performance.
• Refer at-risk students to Student Success Coordinator.
• Offer advisement and academic counseling to students.
• Grade tests and projects, maintain grade books, track attendance, and perform admin duties.
• Administer tests to measure progress and training effectiveness.
• Participate in conferences, seminars, and training sessions.
• Contribute input to academic committees for program enrichment.
• Other duties as assigned.
