Job summary

Arizona College of Nursing is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach on campus and in-person across General Education courses. You will deliver diverse instructional methods, leveraging lectures, demonstrations, and audiovisual aids to support student learning.

The role requires a Masters degree or higher with relevant discipline coursework, several years of practical teaching experience, and the ability to communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• Masters degree or higher from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 15 credit hours in the assigned subject area.
• Master’s in the discipline OR Master’s with 18 graduate credit hours relevant to the discipline.

Responsibilities

• Teach in classroom, online, or lab using lectures, demonstrations and audiovisual tools.
• Keep students engaged and follow a curriculum.
• Set clear learning objectives for all activities.
• Meet course and school-wide performance goals.
• Manage classroom/online behavior and evaluate performance.
• Identify at-risk students and refer to Student Success Coordinator.
• Provide advisement and tutoring as needed.
• Grade tests and projects and maintain grade books.
• Administer tests to measure progress and training effectiveness.
• Participate in faculty development and academic committees.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
