Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin's Healthyhorns Counseling and Mental Health Center is seeking a Mindful Eating Counselor (LPC, LCSW, Psychology) to provide short-term individual and group counseling and outreach focused on disordered eating and body image among UT Austin students at the UT Main Campus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in counseling/psychology/social work or Texas licensure eligibility.
• Licensed to practice independently in Texas (LPC/LCSW/psychologist) or eligible for Texas licensure within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Provide short-term individual and group counseling and crisis intervention.
• Document all service contacts timely and accurately.
• Develop and implement interventions addressing psycho-social mental health needs of students.
• Identify and develop group offerings and recruit participants.
• Supervise and train interns and practicum students.
• Coordinate referrals with CMHC and university/community providers.
