Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a CARE Coordinator (LPC, LCSW, PhD) within the College of Liberal Arts. This licensed clinician provides short-term individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and case management to undergraduate and graduate students in an embedded CMHC model across colleges.

You will supervise interns, develop training materials, coordinate referrals, and collaborate with campus partners to expand mental health services.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or Social Work or other degree which meets eligibility requirement in Texas for licensure.
• Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology or other degree acceptable to the Texas Board of Examiners of Psychology.
• Licensed to practice independently as a Professional Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, or Psychologist or the equivalent from another state; must obtain licensure in Texas within one year if licensed elsewhere.

Responsibilities

• Provide short-term individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and case management for undergraduate and graduate students.
• Coordinate referrals between CMHC and university/community services.
• Develop and deliver workshops and outreach to staff, faculty, and students.
• Supervise interns and practicum students; provide training materials and supervision.
