Job summary

Millersville University is seeking a skilled Electrician to maintain and repair medium voltage electrical systems on campus. This permanent, full-time position operates Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., on campus under AFSCME terms.

The role requires five years of journey-level electrical experience, strong troubleshooting and building automation knowledge, and a valid driver’s license. This is an essential, on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Five years of journey-level experience in the electrical trade or equivalent.
• Knowledge of building automation controls for electrical systems.
• Ability to service, troubleshoot, modify and repair building automation systems.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Commitment to inclusive practices and working with diverse student populations.
• Successful completion of three background checks.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair medium voltage electrical systems and equipment.
• Review plans and prints for projects and provide comments.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and inspect their work.
• Read blueprints and schematics to diagnose problems.
• Operate a medium voltage substation and monitor power distribution.
• Adhere to safety rules and PPE requirements.
• All other duties as assigned.
