Job summary

The New School on the Cooper Hewitt campus is seeking a non-academic student worker to support library operations. You will schedule appointments, manage room capacity, and assist with shelf checks and book retrieval.

No prior experience is required. This on-campus role pays $18 per hour for up to 10 hours per week and supports the Cooper Hewitt library in serving students and preserving access to materials.

Qualifications

• Must have a Cooper Hewitt ID.
• Current HDCS student. No previous experience required.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling appointments for students to ensure room capacity is not exceeded.
• Pulling books located onsite.
• Check books out on students' shelves.
• Books not located onsite at CH library are obtained through Parsons library consortium.
• Attend to on-shelf checkouts for student borrowers.
