Job summary

Gila Community College in Globe/Payson on-campus position seeks a Human Resources Professional to manage recruitment, benefits, and personnel records, ensuring compliant and efficient HR operations. The role reports to the VP of Business Operations and supports strategic planning, IPEDS reporting, and payroll coordination.

Required are a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 3+ years HR experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS365 and HRIS systems.

Qualifications

• Combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities that will enable success in position responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Relations/Resources, Business, Finance, Employment Law, or closely related major.
• Three or more years of progressively responsible experience in human resources operations.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in teams.
• Direct experience developing budgets and contracts.
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Experience in policies, onboarding, training initiatives, and HR processes.
• Ability to pass a background check and/or obtain Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment and new-hire processes for faculty, administrators, and staff.
• Administer Flexible Benefits program and employee benefits.
• Assist with annual operating budget involving personnel portion.
• Support administrative activities including planning, IPEDS reporting, data reporting, and audits.
• Maintain HR records, policies, and employee handbooks in HRIS.
• Provide payroll data to Payroll Specialist and ensure timely payroll disbursements.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws.
• Coordinate employee evaluation activities.
• Develop and administer training programs for employees.
