Job summary

University of Iowa Health Care, Internal Medicine Department, is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to provide HR support to staff, faculty, and leadership in the Department of Internal Medicine. The role includes coordination of talent management and engagement, administration of faculty programs, compliance monitoring, and processing HR transactions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
1-2 years of progressive HR experience.
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinate recruitment activities for non-bargaining, SEIU, merit, Postdoctoral Research Scholar, and Research Intern positions.
Maintain requisitions, create new requisitions, and close postings.
Assist HR Generalist with hiring processes and credentialing for postdocs and interns.
Schedule interviews and serve on search committees; develop interview questions as needed.
Coordinate onboarding for faculty and staff, including I-9 verifications and badge requests.
Run HR reports, monitor compliance, and support payroll corrections for staff and faculty.
Support performance management and annual reviews for faculty.
