Job summary

Georgetown University’s Community Director in Residential Education leads a live-on campus program for a community housing 225-600 students on the Hilltop and Capitol campuses. The role mentors Resident Assistants/Resident Fellows, designs cultural and educational programs, and supports student formation within the Jesuit tradition.

Qualifications

• A completed Master’s Degree is required, preferably in the area of Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, or Social Work.
• Experience in leadership, supervision, professional development, administrative skills, social justice and inclusion, community development, educational engagement, and emergency response.
• Ability to manage stress, conflict, and frustration constructively; demonstrate a positive attitude; understanding of Jesuit values.

Responsibilities

• Supervise RA/RF staff and develop programming for student formation.
• Educate students through Educational Plans and leadership development initiatives.
• Coordinate with Faculty, Resident Ministers, and Safety Services on emergencies and safety.
• Manage occupancy, safety, and security of the residential area; serve on on-call duty rotation.
