Ball State University Facilities Planning and Management is seeking a full-time Carpenter for the 2nd shift on campus. The role involves constructing and remodeling university facilities, installing fixtures, and building cabinets and counters.

Candidates must be able to handle physical tasks and operate power and hand tools safely. Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, and finishing wood surfaces, applying construction materials, and installing doors, windows, and hardware.

Formación

• Experience in constructing or remodeling university facilities.
• Ability to install/repair fixtures and finish wood surfaces.
• Capable of following regulations and safety standards.

Responsabilidades

• Construct and remodel university facilities and finishes.
• Install/repair fixtures and hardware in facilities.
• Build cabinets, casework, furniture, counters, and laminate tops.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials with hand/power tools.
• Apply materials to floors, walls, ceilings, and roofs as required.
• Fit and service doors, windows, and hardware.
• Construct concrete forms; place and finish concrete as required.
• Move ladders, scaffolds, and lift platforms as needed.
