Job summary

The candidate should have prior lab experience, be proficient with basic office tech, and be able to work a flexible schedule across the year under supervision of the Laboratory Manager.

Qualifications

• Requires prior science laboratory related work experience.
• Proficient with computers, iPads, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to work a 12-month flexible schedule aligned with lab calendars.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of independent work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to collaborate with students, faculty and staff, maintaining confidentiality.
• Experience with biology lab equipment and basic maintenance tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials and set up equipment for biology labs and demonstrations.
• Maintain and stock laboratory supplies, equipment, and manuals for classes.
• Adhere to safety procedures for chemical and biological waste and equipment.
• Assist faculty and students with equipment, experiments and demonstrations.
• Monitor inventories and coordinate with the Laboratory Manager on needs.
• Perform related duties as assigned by the Laboratory Manager.
