Job summary

The City of Trinidad is seeking a semi-skilled maintenance worker to support waterline construction, repair, and maintenance activities. You will operate a variety of equipment and assist with meter and hydrant installations while keeping records and maps up to date.

Expect to work 7:00am–3:30pm, with potential overtime for emergencies. A valid Colorado CDL with airbrake is required or obtained within 6 months, and physical conditioning for lifting is necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent vocational training.
• Valid Colorado CDL with airbrake endorsement or obtain within 6 months.
• Physically capable of heavy lifting and endure outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain water main and distribution lines.
• Respond to leaks and locate water lines for repair.
• Assist in installing water meters and hydrants.
• Maintain equipment, trucks, and tools; keep shop clean.
• Work overtime or on-call during emergencies as required.
