Job summary

TransPak in Manor, Texas is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk responsible for leading inventory and tool management, daily warehouse records, and cycle counts.

You will coordinate with the General Manager, track transportation, and ensure accurate stock levels while enforcing safety and readiness for audits.

Ideal candidates have inventory management knowledge, MS Office skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management and quality management.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday with occasional weekends and overtime.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize daily work and meet deadlines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of inventory movement, including stocking and re-stocking.
• Compile and maintain records of inventory on hand.
• Participate in monthly and year-end cycle counts and reconcile issues.
• Coordinate inventory requirements with the General Manager.
• Track transportation and distribution of inventory.
• Maintain and audit inventory records and generate reports.
• Ensure safety equipment and badges are worn and readiness for inspections.
• Work with staff to prepare for audits and inspections.

As an Inventory Control Clerk with us, you'll be hands-on, with a heavy emphasis on leading inventory and tool management activities

What You’ll Be Doing

Essential Functions

• Handle all aspects of inventory movement of materials and tools, including stocking, re-stocking, and accounting for every item in the warehouse
• Compile and maintain records of the quantity, type, and value of the inventory on hand
• Participates in monthly and year-end inventory cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation issues
• Coordinates inventory requirements and procurement details with the Division’s General Manager
• Track the transportation and distribution of tool and material inventory
• Oversees the records of all stocks and compiles evaluation reports. Daily auditing of inventory is also a task for the inventory specialist
• Coordinating inventory requirements and procurement details with vendors and customers.
• Participates in the inventory cycle counting
• Accounting and Reporting of inventory surplus, product/tool returns, and any damages.
• Replenishing stock in the warehouse and filling of order forms
• Tracking the transportation and distribution of material and tool inventory
• Maintaining and overseeing the records of all stocks and compiling reports as needed
• Conducting a daily audit of inventory
• Ensures all employees and visitors entering warehouse are wearing the proper safety equipment and security badges at all times
• Works in conjunction with all staff to ensure readiness for any inspection or audit

What We’d Like to See from You

• Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management and quality management
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office, i.e., Excel, Word, etc.
• Excellent communications skills (written, verbal & listening) and interpersonal skills needed in order to interface with and influence all levels of personnel
• Ability to work Monday through Friday assigned schedule, with occasional required weekends and overtime
• Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize daily work and meet all internal and external deadlines
• Ability to push and pull up to 75 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds

Highly Desired

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in transportation, warehousing, and/or distribution environment
• Experienced using a forklift and pallet jacks
• Forklift Certified
