Job Description

Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School is accepting applications for on‑call substitute teachers who will work on an as‑needed, per diem basis. Substitutes may be asked to cover for our vocational teachers with planned absences or for unanticipated last‑minute sick days. Substitutes use an online absence management system to identify and sign up for assignments they would like. Substitutes can choose assignments in both academic classrooms and vocational/technical programs.

Qualifications

• 22 years of age or older; 21 years of age or older if a graduate of a teacher preparation program.
• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Maturity, dependability, and adaptability.
• Genuine interest in working with adolescent students in a vibrant, multicultural school community.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Prior vocational or trade experience; or
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.

Compensation

Unlicensed: $110.63 & Certified: $142.42
