Job summary

Heartland Veterinary Partners LLC's Veterinary Hospital at the Lake in Sherrills Ford, NC is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician. You will support veterinarians in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, laboratory work, and client education, ensuring compassionate, high‑quality care for small animals.

Responsibilities include taking histories and vital signs, preparing patients, collecting samples, radiographs, patient handling, and maintaining clean, organized exam and treatment areas.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid veterinary technician license in the states where employed.
• Ability to work on-call shifts with 30 days notice for on-call dates.
• Ability to lift and move patients/equipment up to 25 pounds; assist with heavier lifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in medical and surgical procedures and in outpatient exams.
• Record histories, vital signs, weights and client education during visits.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vitals during procedures.
• Collect specimens and run in-hospital lab tests; prepare samples for外 labs.
• Take and develop radiographs following safety procedures; maintain equipment.
• Provide animal handling and restraint as needed; administer medications and vaccines.
• Maintain clean exam rooms, labs, and treatment areas; restock supplies.
• Communicate clearly with clients and team members to ensure optimal patient care.
