Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, field inspection, trucking, or materials testing preferred.
• Ability to complete weight verification documentation accurately.
• Availability for on-call work based on project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Assist with truck weight verification checks for hot-mix asphalt and aggregate.
• Travel to active construction sites as requested by IDOT Resident Engineers.
• Coordinate with project personnel and independent scale operators.
• Select loaded trucks for verification and document weights.
• Complete weight check reports accurately and promptly.
• Work independently in active construction environments with safety around traffic/equipment.
• Communicate with supervisors at Baxter & Woodman’s Peoria Heights office.
