Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 6 months to 1 year of related installation/maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of operating equipment used to install/maintain traffic control devices.
• Proficiency with basic PC software (email, spreadsheets, word processing).

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair traffic control devices and equipment.
• Operate heavy equipment and hand tools.
• Install, splice, and terminate electrical and communication cables.
• Interpret and apply construction drawings and standards for signalized intersections.
• Rotating on call for emergency responses at night and on weekends.
• Train on all Traffic Signal Technician essential functions.
• Perform related duties as required.
