Job summary

The City of Waco is seeking a skilled Traffic Signal Technician-CDL to join our team and maintain, install, and repair traffic signal systems on City streets. The role requires CDL and a Tech certification, with responsibility for operations and preventive maintenance.

Under supervision you will install, test, repair signals, and may be on-call for after-hours emergencies, holidays, and weekends. This position offers growth and community impact within Waco.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• One year of construction or traffic-signal related experience; or equivalent training.
• Valid Texas Class A CDL within 180 days.
• Traffic Signal Technician certification required within 2 years.
• Additional trainings/certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Installs and maintains traffic control signals on City streets.
• Operates a commercial vehicle to inspect and maintain traffic signal hardware and controllers; follow schematics.
• May be on-call after hours including holidays and weekends during emergencies.
