Job summary

Columbia Memorial Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to join the periOperative team. You will operate sterilizers and assist with processing instruments and trays, working with surgeons, staff, and vendors across surgical cases, endoscopy, and OB.

The role requires knowledge of sterile techniques, instrument handling, and regulatory expectations, with on-call duties on a rotating basis. Certification eligibility and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sterile techniques as it relates to the surgical environment.
• Knowledge of instruments and procedures for various specialties.
• One year clinical scrubbing experience or two years scrubbing experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate sterilizers and process instruments and trays.
• Work with periOperative staff in surgical cases, endoscopy and OB.
• Take call on a rotational basis and prioritize quickly in emergent situations.
• Maintain aseptic technique and handle decontamination procedures.
