Job summary

ARC Human Services is seeking a Substitute Teacher to cover classes when regular teachers are unavailable. You will deliver lesson plans, supervise students, and keep instruction on track so learning continues smoothly.

You will adapt methods for diverse learners, communicate with students, families, and staff, and maintain a safe, organized classroom. A Bachelor’s in Education is preferred, with experience in schools; strong classroom management and technology use are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field is preferred.
• Candidates with an associate degree or equivalent coursework in education or child development may be considered.
• Experience in educational settings and substitute teaching is expected.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lesson plans and materials provided by the regular teacher.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
• Communicate with students, parents, and school staff about progress and concerns.
• Follow school policies to ensure a safe, respectful environment.
• Attend meetings or trainings to stay informed on policies and strategies.
