Job summary

FI is seeking reliable, flexible On-Call Substitutes to cover teachers and teacher assistants when regular staff are absent. Assignments vary by school needs, language skills, and areas of expertise.

Start date is immediate and opportunities exist for substitutes who speak French, English, Mandarin, or German, with Math expertise considered. Compensation includes $25.00/hour for Assistant Teacher substitute assignments and $30.00/hour for Lead Teacher substitute assignments, plus a 403(b) plan

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
• Flexibility to adapt to different classroom environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical mobility to ensure student safety.
• Enrollment in the Office of Child Care’s Central Background Registry.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage and supervise students in a safe, positive, and engaging environment.
• Follow lesson plans and classroom routines provided by the regular teacher.
• Support instruction, classroom activities, transitions, recess, lunch, and other assigned duties.
• Adapt to different grade levels, subjects, and classroom environments.
• Communicate professionally with teachers, administrators, and other School staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow all School policies and safety requirements.

Position Summary

FI is seeking reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic On-Call Substitutes to provide coverage for teachers and teacher assistants when regular staff are absent. We are especially seeking substitutes who speak French, English, Mandarin, or German, as well as Math specialists.

Assignments may vary based on School needs, availability, language skills, and areas of expertise.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage and supervise students in a safe, positive, and engaging environment.
• Follow lesson plans and classroom routines provided by the regular teacher.
• Support instruction, classroom activities, transitions, recess, lunch, and other assigned duties.
• Adapt to different grade levels, subjects, and classroom environments.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Employment contingent upon successful enrollment in the Office of Child Care’s Central Background Registry.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent.
• Teaching or classroom experience.
• Fluency in French, Mandarin, or German.
• Math expertise or teaching experience.
• Experience working in a multilingual or international school environment.
