Job summary

French International School of Oregon is seeking reliable on-call substitutes to cover classrooms when regular staff are absent. Opportunities include roles for speakers of French, English, Mandarin, or German, and for math specialists.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children in education or childcare.
• Flexibility to adapt to different classrooms and assignments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical mobility to ensure safety of students.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage and supervise students.
• Follow lesson plans and classroom routines from regular teachers.
• Support instruction, activities, transitions, recess, lunch, and duties.
• Adapt to different grade levels, subjects, and environments.
• Communicate professionally with teachers, administrators, and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow school policies and safety requirements.
