Job summary

City of Loveland in Loveland, Colorado seeks an Equipment Operator in the Streets Division of the Public Works Department. This on-call, part-year role may require weekends, holidays, overtime, and evening hours with shifts often 12 hours.

Work location is at 2525 W. 1st Street, Loveland, and reporting to Streets Division. Salary ranges from $25.42 to $34.32 per hour based on qualifications and experience. Position lasts up to 10 months and less than 30 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year experience with large commercial vehicles preferred.
• Must possess a valid Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL). Tanker endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates snow removal equipment.
• Clears roads, applies chemicals.
• Operates front-end loader.
• Prepares vehicle mileage reports and other documents as necessary.
• Performs routine maintenance on assigned vehicle.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
