Job summary

Catholic Community Services of Western Washington is seeking compassionate Engagement Specialist I to join our Coordinated Care Agency shelter programs in King County. You must be available for varying shifts to meet program needs and provide direct service, intake, and client advocacy in Seattle, Kent, Renton, Federal Way, and Kirkland locations.

The role includes crisis intervention, documentation, front desk duties, supervision of volunteers, and collaboration with medical and social service

Qualifications

• One-year experience in a social service and/or customer service role.
• Experience or knowledge of mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or homeless services.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
• Commitment to harm reduction and housing first program model.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and related databases.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct service to clients, crisis intervention, and advocacy.
• Coordinate with case managers, social workers, medical professionals, and others.
• Maintain client records and document policies and procedures.
• Manage front desk, site security, and welcome clients, visitors, and donors.
• Supervise volunteers on shift and collaborate with off-site volunteers.
• Attend required in-person agency meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
