Job summary

Lake County is seeking an On-Call Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for seniors to meal programs, medical appointments, and community activities in Leadville, Colorado. This is an on-call, variable-hours position with non-exempt status, compensation $23/hour.

The role supports the Senior Center by assisting with food box deliveries, coordinating with staff, and ensuring respectful, clear communication; a valid Colorado driver's license and ability to pass a background check are

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school or equivalent education.
• Current Colorado Driver’s License.
• Ability to pass a Colorado Bureau of Investigation Background Check.
• Have a clean driving record.
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Willingness to assist the senior community.
• Proficiency in English; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport seniors to and from medical appointments, meals, shopping outings, excursions, and other transportation needs.
• Assist with loading/unloading monthly food boxes.
• Support the Senior Center snow removal program as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
