Job summary

Helion Technologies is seeking a Systems Administrator to support complex desktop and server issues with deep expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy to keep the service desk running smoothly.

You will assist outsourced field personnel at client sites, monitor alerts in PRTG, manage Exchange/365 mail flow, VPN, printers, and virtualization, and participate in Saturday on-call rotations while coordinating with project and account teams.

Qualifications

Experience administering Active Directory including topology, replication, and auditing.
Experience configuring and troubleshooting DNS (internal/external zones) and forwarders.
Hands-on experience with DHCP scopes, exclusions, and IP helper.
Experience implementing and troubleshooting GPOs, Folder Redirection, OneDrive.
Experience with printers on servers and cloud print management.
Experience with Exchange mailboxes, mail flow, connectors, and SSL certs.
Familiarity with Cisco Meraki networking and monitoring (PRTG).
Experience with VMware/Hyper-V datastore and VMs, and automation via RMM tools.

Responsibilities

Resolve complex Desktop and Server issues using advanced technical knowledge.
Assist outsourced field personnel at client sites with PC/Printer/Connectivity issues.
Monitor/troubleshoot alerts in PRTG and disk failures.
Gather audit information from AD/Exchange for PM/Account teams.
Saturday on-call rotation and dispatch/ticket prioritization for Tier 2 techs.
Provide guidance to lower-tier Desktop technicians.
Support VPN setup via Meraki AnyConnect and ensure security/compliance.
