Job summary

Ebenezer in Edina, MN is seeking a Security professional to join our senior cooperative team at 7500 York Coop. The role maintains a safe building, monitors access, responds to emergencies, and delivers exceptional customer service.

Shifts include Day, Evening and Overnight with on-call casual status. Responsibilities include alarm monitoring, visitor sign-in, patrols, incident reporting, and coordination with staff and emergency responders.

Qualifications

• One to three years of previous security experience.
• Basic familiarity with MS Word and Excel is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responds to medical, fire, maintenance, and security emergencies in the building.
• Monitor and respond to building alarm and emergency systems.
• Contacts appropriate staff or professional emergency personnel per procedures.
• Provides information and assistance to emergency personnel per procedures.
• Completes required emergency reports clearly and concisely.
• Communicates issues and outcomes to manager/supervisor.
• Performs OK checks and responds accordingly.
• Controls access to the building and greets visitors.
• Ensures visitors sign in and out.
• Answers phones and delivers messages.
• Maintains log book with pertinent information.
• Monitors cameras, alarms, and HVAC system.
• Manages packages and deliveries.
• Signs out keys to residents, staff, and vendors.
• Conducts regular patrols of the building and parking areas.
• Logs building issues for maintenance follow-up.
• Recognizes and reports mechanical issues to staff/contractors.
• Maintains a clean, presentable workspace and front entry.
• Performs light housekeeping as needed.
