Job summary

Great Prairie Area Education Agency Ottumwa Office in Ottumwa, Iowa seeks a Speech Teletherapy Facilitator to support students receiving virtual SLP services. This on-call role runs weekdays 8:00am–3:30pm, with on-site supervision and collaboration with a virtual SLP.

You will bring students to sessions, help with equipment, troubleshoot tech, ensure safety, and maintain confidentiality. Travel between office locations and schools is frequent within Regions 1, 2, and 3, including Ottumwa.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age and hold a high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Additional education or experience in education, special education, communication, child development, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Bring students to and from scheduled virtual speech-language sessions in the school setting.
• Check the daily schedule and communicate student absences, schedule changes, and other relevant information to the virtual SLP and school staff.
• Prepare therapy materials and equipment as requested by the virtual SLP.
• Assist students with basic technology needs, including logging in, camera positioning, volume, microphone, screen display, and headphones.
• Provide basic technology troubleshooting and follow established procedures when technology problems occur.
• Maintain confidentiality and securely handle student information, records, and materials.
