Qualifications

• High School graduate
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well with students, staff, and the general public
• Able to follow oral and written instructions
• Physical ability to climb stairs, walk extensively, stand for extended periods of time, and lift 30 lbs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Check washrooms, secure / open doors as required, and make sure students are where assigned
• Circulate in and outside of building as assigned
• Monitor the staff and student parking lot
• Provide a proactive presence in hallways and other areas to observe and to encourage positive student behavior
• Monitor assigned door area verifying student and visitor authorization to be present
• Supervise students in the cafeteria and/or assigned halls or rooms
• Able to write a detailed report when requested
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
