Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic kitchen and food serving utensils and equipment.
• Knowledge of basic methods of food preparation.
• Ability to learn and apply proper sanitation and safety requirements.
• Ability to perform routine arithmetical calculations accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of foods such as sandwiches, salads, and other items.
• Serve food at cafeteria, snack bar, satellite units, and remote sites.
• Perform cashiering duties, receive money, make change, and collect meal tickets.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas and equipment.
• Monitor and direct the work of student assistants as assigned.
