Job summary

Walla Walla Public Schools is seeking a Substitute Health Room Assistant to provide daily health-related care to students under the direction of a licensed health care professional. This on-call position supports the health room operations in district schools and helps ensure student well-being during the school day.

Qualifications

• Current CPR/First Aid and AED certification.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Health care experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate written and computerized health records of all students and provide care for students in the health room.
• Distribute/implement health protocols as directed by the Health Clinician – RN.
• Administer prescribed medicines/treatments to students according to state law and district policy.
• Provide immediate first aid care in case of injury or sudden illness.
• Monitor health plans to meet medical, health, and safety needs of students; manage medication forms.
• Follow district and state health policies and procedures.
