Responsibilities

• Screen and care for student illness or injury per First Aid/CPR training and district guidelines.
• Maintain a health room log of all students utilizing health room services and dispositions.
• Assist school nurse with monitoring immunization compliance and screening programs.
• Administer medications according to district policy after completing medication administration training with the school nurse.
• Follow procedures for emergencies and evacuations; maintain confidentiality of health records.
• Communicate effectively with school nurse, staff and parents.
