Job summary

Austin Public Schools is seeking Substitute Custodians to be available on call throughout the school year. The district is located in Austin, MN and serves over 5000 students, employing over 800 staff.

Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, restrooms, offices and common areas, performing light maintenance, event setup, and general upkeep as needed. The position is on-call with compensation of $16.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning the inside of classrooms, sweeping, vacuuming & mopping floors, washing desks and counters and washing white & black boards.
• Cleaning, vacuuming, mopping and sanitizing restrooms, kitchen, offices, gymnasium, etc. Strip & wax floors.
• Emptying garbage cans in throughout building.
• Performing general maintenance such as: changing light bulbs, moving furniture, shoveling snow, etc.
• Event set-up and take down.
• Washing windows, walls, lockers, etc.
