Job summary

Naperville Community Unit School District 203 is seeking a Substitute Custodian to support buildings and grounds on an as-needed basis. Duties include cleaning classrooms, hallways, lunchrooms, gyms, bathrooms, and offices, with floor care, trash removal, and setup responsibilities as needed.

The position is part time and as needed, with a starting pay of $18.42 per hour. A criminal background check and health clearance are required by Illinois School Code before assignment.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work at multiple sites.
• Ability to accept work with short notice.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to be standing/walking for an 8 hour shift.
• Ability to push/pull garbage cans, carts, vacuums, brooms, etc

Responsibilities

• Cleaning classrooms, hallways, lunchrooms, gyms, bathrooms, offices, and other rooms within a school or office site.
• Cleaning floors including mopping and vacuuming.
• Emptying trash.
• Performing set ups which may include moving furniture, chairs, tables, and other large items.
• Other duties as assigned by the shift supervisor.
