Qualifications

• Must be constantly alert for unsafe conditions and report them immediately.
• Read and interpret written work instructions, left by the Head Custodian or Principal/Building Manager.
• Be able to work under the direction of supervisor and with other District Personnel.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to maintain adequate attendance.

Responsibilities

• Sweep rooms, halls, entrances and sidewalks
• Dust and move furniture
• Wet mop and operate scrubbing/buffing machines
• Vacuum and shampoo carpeting
• Wash windows inside and out
• Wash furniture, chalkboards, walls and lighting fixtures
• Clean restrooms, fixtures, walls and floors
• Replace light bulbs
• Remove snow from sidewalks and apply de-icer
• Perform general yard maintenance
• Perform other job related duties as assigned
