Job summary

Armed Services YMCA San Diego is seeking an After-School Bus Driver to operate the bus safely on an on-call basis for ASYMCA programs and events. You will follow a daily schedule, perform safety checks, and ensure student safety and orderly transport.

Minimum driving experience, California school bus rules knowledge, and required licenses/CPR-First Aid certification are essential. Flexible hours include evenings/weekends as needed, and ASYMCA promotes equal employment opportunity.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum driving school bus for a school district or youth organization
• Twenty hours of classroom instruction and twenty hours behind-the-wheel training
• Knowledge of California highway and school bus laws

Responsibilities

• Operate school bus safely on a set schedule
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
• Pick up/drop off students and maintain order on the bus
• Report maintenance needs to supervisor
• Ensure student safety and emergency procedures are understood
