Job summary

Liberty Elementary School District 25 is seeking a dedicated individual to assist in the safe transportation of students to and from designated locations. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and the ability to lift 70 lbs.

This role requires cooperation with parents, community members, and staff, while also managing equipment used around vehicles. This position is non-exempt and on-call/as-needed as per the Level 1 Support Staff Wage Schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and community members.
• Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.

Responsibilities

• Assist individual students with their transportation needs.
• Alert the bus driver to problems with students.
• Operate and care for equipment used on or around vehicles.

Skills

Ability to take direction and complete assigned tasks

Work cooperatively with parents, community and staff

Physical ability to lift 70 lbs

Education

High School Diploma or GED
