Job summary

Laredo Medical Center, part of Community Health Systems, is seeking a Registered Nurse for RN SANE PRN/On Call to join our hospital team in Texas. You will provide patient-centered care using the nursing process, collaborate with the health care team, and ensure safety and quality in all interactions.

The role requires strong clinical nursing knowledge, the ability to assess patients, administer medications, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience required.
• RN license in the US (state or compact) required.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Assess patients, document findings, and report changes.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
• Operate telemetry equipment and analyze heart rhythms.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in code team activities.
• Document care promptly in medical records.
• Support performance improvement initiatives.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with policies.
