Job summary

Nye Health Services in Nebraska is seeking an On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to provide clinical support on an as-needed basis across our campus, ensuring high-quality care and timely response to resident needs.

This role offers scheduling flexibility, competitive wages, and a collaborative team environment. You will respond to call-offs, assist with staffing coverage, administer medications, document accurately, and uphold infection control and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact state)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or assisted living preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to adapt quickly in varying situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, flexible, and responsive to scheduling needs

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders, care plans, and regulatory standards
• Respond to call-offs, increased census, and urgent staffing needs across shifts
• Assess resident conditions, monitor changes, and communicate effectively with providers and care teams
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Support and collaborate with CNAs, Medication Aides, and other team members
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with company policies and state regulations
• Uphold infection control, safety, and quality standards at all times
• Serve as a clinical resource and leader when working on assigned shifts
