Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an On Call Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to patients in their homes, coordinating care with physicians and the care team. The role includes on-call rotation, patient visits, and ensuring eligibility and medical necessity under payer guidelines. Competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Required RN licensure in state, valid driver's license and reliable transportation. CPR certification preferred; 1+ year RN experience.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN licensure in the state of practice.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• 1+ years of RN experience.
• Able to work independently and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in patients' homes as prescribed by physicians.
• Coordinate plan of care with healthcare professionals from admission to discharge.
• Complete nursing assessments per program and payer requirements.
• Ensure eligibility and medical necessity for services per policy.
• Develop and revise care plans with community providers.
• Ensure plan-of-care frequency meets patient needs and obtain physician approval.
• Adapt to diverse home environments and patient needs.
