Job summary

The South Dakota Department of Corrections in Sioux Falls is seeking a Registered Nurse for an as-needed, at-least-12-hours-per-month role. You will maintain inmate medical records, assist with procedures, administer medications and support treatment plans in a secure clinical setting.

Requirements include at least two years of RN experience and an active RN license from the South Dakota Board of Nursing or eNLC.

Qualifications

• Must have at least two years of RN experience.
• Current, valid RN license from the SD Board of Nursing or eNLC.

Responsibilities

• Documents in an accurate and timely manner to provide inmate medical records.
• Transcribes reports at change of shifts.
• Provides standard patient education within nursing guidelines.
• Administers medications and assists with treatments and procedures.
• Ensures safety, security, and confidentiality in the clinical environment.
