Job summary

St. Croix Hospice in Vadnais Heights (MN) is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse On-Call for its 24/7 care model. You will provide skilled after-hours nursing visits, assist with admissions, and guide families with care planning during evenings and weekends.

Schedule is 7 days on / 7 days off with overnight shifts, offering autonomy, work-life balance, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in end-of-life care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 1+ years of acute care experience; hospice/home care preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice and CPR certification.
• Respond to triage calls and provide after-hours nursing visits.
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and educate patients and caregivers.
• Maintain timely clinical documentation and charting.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license with proof of auto insurance.

As a Registered Nurse On-Call, you are an essential part of our 24/7 care model. You’ll provide skilled, responsive care during evenings, nights, and weekends addressing urgent patient needs, completing after-hours admissions, and offering calm, confident guidance during critical moments. Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off Monday-Thursday 5:00pm–8:00am and Friday 5 pm-Monday 8 AM

The salary range for this role is $88,000-$98,000 annual base salary. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: geographic location, relevant education, applicable certifications, depth of experience, and special skillsets. The total compensation package for this position may also include the opportunity to participate in employee benefits including our medical/dental/vision/pet insurance, disability and life insurance, paid time off, and 401(k) retirement plans, subject to applicable plan terms, and/or eligibility for other compensation.
