Job summary

St. Croix Hospice is seeking a Registered Nurse On-Call to join our 24/7 care model in the Indianapolis area.

You will respond to urgent patient needs, provide after-hours nursing visits for symptom management, and help with admissions and care plan updates during evenings, nights, and weekends. This 7 days on/7 days off overnight schedule offers flexibility and the chance to make a meaningful impact while balancing work and life.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associates, Bachelors, or Masters).
• 1+ years of acute care experience; hospice/home care preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice and CPR certification.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Respond to triage calls and provide after-hours nursing visits for symptom management, admissions, and care plan updates.
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on evolving needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, with patient and caregiver education.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation of care and outcomes.
• Coordinate care with families and interdisciplinary teams.

Registered Nurse On-Call Requirements & Responsibilities:
