Job summary

UDR, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician at our Peabody, MA community (14 North, 387 homes) to address resident requests, perform repairs, and maintain unit readiness and common areas to high standards.

The role requires a technical certificate or diploma, at least two years in building and mechanical maintenance (plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting and drywall). HVAC and carpentry experience is a plus; EPA certification preferred; a valid driver's license and on-call rotation

Qualifications

Technical or vocational certificate preferred.
Minimum of two years of experience in building and mechanical maintenance including plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting and drywall.
HVAC knowledge and carpentry experience are a plus.
EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred.
Valid driver’s license and rotating on-call responsibility required.
Some locations require certification in pool operation (CPO).

Responsibilities

Respond to resident requests for maintenance and service by repairing or restoring service within quality and time standards.
Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the community including grounds, amenities, buildings, and common areas.
Ensure apartments are ready for occupancy by performing electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repairs and general cleaning as needed.
Maintain tools, equipment and workspace; request replacements and assist in stocking inventory.
Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
