Job summary

The International Institute of New England in Boston, MA is seeking a Community Services Case Specialist to provide placement, orientation, social services, and advocacy for refugee, asylee, and trafficking survivor clients.

Under supervision, you will conduct intakes, arrange apartment setup, coordinate core services, maintain documentation, and support post-resettlement needs while coordinating with internal programs and community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred and related experience valued.
• Experience working with immigrant populations preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-arrival orientation for refugee clients.
• Conduct weekly intakes and provide referrals to health, social, housing and employment services.
• Procure and set up apartments including furniture and basic supplies.
• Provide initial reception and placement services, including airport pickup when needed.
• Provide comprehensive case management including planning, home visits, enrollment, advocacy, and referrals.
• Coordinate client services to support self-sufficiency goals.
• Develop client service plans and monitor progress.
• Maintain documentation in centralized database with assessments and notes.
• Ensure clients receive R&P funds within 90 days under supervision.
