Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work with one year of social work experience.

• Master’s degree in counseling with two years of social work or counseling experience.
• Four-year degree in human services with three years of social work or counseling experience.
• Four-year degree plus four years of experience in rehabilitation/pastoral counseling.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience in related human service fields.

Responsibilities

• Provide protective, investigative, counseling and case management services for at-risk children.
• Investigate alleged neglect/abuse and document substantiations according to guidelines.
• Provide expert testimony in court hearings.
• Follow up with case management and preventive services for clients.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and protective services committees.
• Make timely decisions in high-stress situations.
