Job summary

Pedcor Management Corporation in Cedar Park, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Non-Exempt) responsible for sustaining the physical needs of the property. You will handle preventative and corrective maintenance in apartments, common areas, equipment, and pools, and ensure service requests are completed within 24 hours except emergencies.

Qualifications

• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours in an emergency situation.
• Demonstrate a high proficiency and understanding of systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and code compliance.
• Possess an understanding of OSHA, EPA, and life safety regulations.
• Possess or be willing to get a minimum of EPA, Type 2 Certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Possess basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and preventive/corrective maintenance for vacant and occupied apartments, common buildings, equipment and pools.
• Complete service requests within 24 hours, except emergencies.
• Prioritize maintenance requests based on urgency and potential for further damage.
• Ensure curb appeal and access paths to models and office are well maintained.
• Assist in maintaining inventory by alerting supervisor when stock is depleted.
• Keep storage and shop areas neat, stocked, clean and organized per color-coded program.
• Continue maintenance operations in the absence of the maintenance supervisor.
• Participate in a seven day, 24 hour rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies.
