Job summary

Chapman Management Co., Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure the smooth operation of the property's physical plant. You will perform preventive, responsive, emergency, and routine maintenance, and supervise maintenance-related contracts.

Responsibilities include repairs, resident communication, turnover readiness, and after-hours on-call coverage, with occasional janitorial duties and snow removal when required.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of reading, writing, and conversing in English; bilingual preferred.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property to ensure residents have a clean, safe, well-maintained environment.
• Repair items noted on work orders and communicate maintenance activity to residents.
• Perform plumbing and electrical repairs and routine preventive maintenance.
• Oversee apartment turnover prep and non-routine maintenance scheduling.
• Provide after-hours on-call coverage and emergency response.
• Coordinate with temporary/contract personnel and manage inventory of supplies.
